Who We Are

Maine Lawn & Landscape is a d/b/a of Muyinza Media, 26 Augusta St, South Portland, ME 04106. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Maine Lawn & Landscape (Muyinza Media).

Information We Collect

When you use our website or contact us for a quote, we may collect the following information:

  • Contact details — your name, email address, phone number, and property address when you fill out a contact or quote request form.
  • Service information — details about the lawn care or landscaping services you are interested in.
  • Usage data — information about how you interact with our website, including pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URLs.
  • Device information — browser type, operating system, and screen resolution collected automatically through analytics tools.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide quotes for our services.
  • Schedule and deliver lawn care and landscaping services.
  • Send you service reminders, seasonal tips, or promotional offers (only if you have opted in).
  • Send text messages about your quote and service, only if you checked the optional text-message box (see Text Messaging below).
  • Improve our website and understand how visitors use it.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Text Messaging (SMS)

Texting is optional. You do not have to agree to texts to get a quote or hire us. If you do not opt in, we reply by phone or email.

Website chat: Our website chat asks for your name and message and, if you want text replies, your mobile number. Next to the number is the same optional, unchecked text-message box used on our quote forms, with the full disclosure (who is texting you, what kind of messages, "Message frequency varies", "Msg & data rates may apply", HELP and STOP). You only get texts if you check the box.

Quote forms: Some of our other pages have an optional text-message box on the quote form. The box is never pre-checked and you can submit the form without it. The box says: "I agree to receive customer care text messages from Maine Lawn & Landscape (a d/b/a of Muyinza Media), such as quote follow-ups, appointment reminders and service updates. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."

When you opt in, we record your phone number, the date and time, the page you were on, and the wording you agreed to, so we have a record of your consent.

What we send

  • Quote follow-ups
  • Appointment confirmations and schedule changes
  • Service-complete notices with photo proof
  • Billing reminders
  • Replies to questions you send us

These are customer care and service messages. We do not send marketing texts under this consent.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any of our text messages. We will send one message confirming you are unsubscribed, and then no more texts unless you opt in again. You can also ask us to stop texting you by calling or emailing us.

How to get help

Reply HELP to any of our text messages, or call 207-747-3811 (answered 24/7). You can also email muyinza@mainelawnandlandscape.com.

How we keep your information secure

We store your name, phone number, email, address and consent record in access-controlled business accounts (our CRM and payment provider) protected by passwords and two-factor sign-in. Only the owner and the staff who need it to serve you can see it. Our website and forms use encrypted HTTPS connections. We keep your information only as long as we need it to serve you or as the law requires, and we delete it when you ask us to.

How we handle your mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Every other kind of sharing described in this policy excludes this information.

We never sell or rent phone numbers. The companies that run our text messaging and customer records (such as GoHighLevel) process your number only on our behalf, to send and log the messages you asked for.

SMS terms are also in our Terms & Conditions.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — to help us understand how you use our site and to improve your experience.

Types of cookies we use

  • Essential cookies — required for the website to function properly, including remembering Operator Vault access on a device for up to 180 days.
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand traffic patterns and which pages are most useful. These are provided by Google Analytics (see below).

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some website functionality, but you will still be able to browse our site and contact us.

Third-Party Services

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized data about website traffic and usage patterns. Google Analytics uses cookies to gather this information. The data collected does not personally identify you. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand page performance, site reliability, and general usage patterns. These tools help us improve the website without collecting information submitted in quote or chat fields.

GoHighLevel

Operator Vault signup and consent records are also stored in Airtable and a private Google Sheet for administration and delivery checks. Opening the Vault does not require joining the weekly newsletter. When you opt in to field notes, we record the choice and time; you can unsubscribe from marketing at any time. We do not treat an email signup as permission to send text messages.

Our contact, quote request, and Operator Vault access forms are powered by GoHighLevel. When you submit a form, your information is stored securely in our GoHighLevel account so we can deliver the requested resource or follow up about your service request. GoHighLevel processes this data on our behalf and does not use it for its own purposes.

Property Data Providers

When you use the instant estimate tool, we may send the service address to a licensed property-data provider such as Regrid or ATTOM to retrieve parcel size and available building-footprint information. We use that information only to prepare and verify a lawn-service estimate. Automatic lawn-area results are estimates and are confirmed before scheduling.

Data Retention

We keep your contact information for as long as we have an active service relationship with you, or as long as needed to respond to your inquiry. If you would like us to delete your information, just let us know and we will take care of it promptly.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct any inaccurate information.
  • Ask us to delete your personal information.
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date. We encourage you to check back periodically.
