Before you startInstall the setup tools
To doThis Mac doesn't have the setup tools yet. Every step below uses them to talk to GoHighLevel, Claude and your browser. One click installs them. It can take a few minutes.

Nothing is sent, posted or changed in GoHighLevel without your yes. The installs run on your own computer from the setup kit.
If something stops working
Open the updated setup kit on your computer, select your business, and click Check connection now. This public guide cannot inspect your computer or account. API access, a saved browser session, and permission for Claude or Codex to control a website are separate checks.
API works, but workflow access expired or was rejected
Sign in to the correct GHL business. Open MM, disconnect its old connection, then use step 6 to make a new code and reconnect. Confirm the fresh workflow read succeeds. Saved sessions do not renew automatically in this preview; unattended workflow editing is not ready.
“Host access is restricted by policy”
That message comes from the AI app’s browser permissions, before GHL authentication. Check the exact website in that app’s website permissions. If it already shows Allow and a restart did not help, stop repeating those steps: report the hostname, app version, error and time to the app’s support. Replacing your GHL token will not fix that permission denial. Do not use another browser or credential to evade it.
Public API says 401 or 403
401 means the API credential was rejected; check its status in GHL Private Integrations. 403 means the account or integration lacks permission for that request. Reconnect the correct business using the setup form only. Never paste API keys, Firebase tokens, cookies or passwords into chat.
The CLI or MCP tool cannot be found
Use Install the setup tools in this kit, then Connect Claude. Reopen the terminal or Claude after configuration. Our command is mm-ghl; claude, OpenAI’s codex, and another ghl command are separate programs. Finding an MCP configuration does not prove a request works: ask Claude to run its doctor tool for your business.
macOS says malware, damaged app or revoked software
Stop and leave the blocked file in Trash. Use the software maker’s official current release and contact support if the warning remains. Do not disable system protection, remove quarantine, or force the file to run. A generic “cannot open” message is not enough to diagnose the cause.
Firebase capture or an uncertain write
Firebase capture does not establish workflow access in this release. A timed-out send, booking, payment or workflow change may already have happened: check GHL before retrying. A successful read only proves that read; it does not prove every edit or an unattended job will work.
For support, share the business profile name, check time, status and exact error. Keep credentials private. Health-check update: October 20, 2026.
